What we collect

When you use Selah Shield, we collect:

• The website URL you submit for scanning
• Your email address (for delivering the report)
• Your business name (for inclusion on the report)
• Stripe payment metadata (transaction ID, amount, payment status — we never store your card details)
• Scan results from axe-core (the WCAG findings on your site)
• The generated PDF report

What we do with it

We use this data exclusively to:

• Run the scan you requested and deliver the report
• Process your payment
• Send you the report via email
• Provide customer support if you contact us
• Maintain records required for tax and legal compliance

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes. Period.

Service providers

We share your data only with the service providers necessary to operate the Service:

• Stripe — payment processing
• Cloudflare — hosting (Workers, D1, R2, Pages)
• Browserless — running the accessibility scan against your URL
• Postmark — email delivery

Each of these providers has its own privacy policy and data handling practices. They process data on our behalf under their respective service agreements.

How long we keep your data

Scan records and PDF reports are retained indefinitely so you can re-access your reports later. You may request deletion at any time (see below).

Payment records are retained for 7 years as required by tax law.

Your rights

California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including:

• The right to know what personal information we have collected about you
• The right to request deletion of your personal information
• The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information (we do not sell or share for cross-context behavioral advertising)
• The right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@selahshield.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Email tracking

We do not use tracking pixels or click tracking in our emails. Postmark, our email provider, has the technical ability to track these but we have explicitly disabled both features in our configuration.

Cookies and analytics

Our landing page does not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers. We log basic request metadata (timestamps, response status codes) for reliability purposes but do not associate these logs with personal information.

Children's privacy

Selah Shield is a B2B service intended for businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify active customers via email. Continued use of the Service after a posted update constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
